🍵 Craving Something? Try a Cup of Traditional Korean Tea
One of the hardest parts of dieting?
When you're not even hungry but still want to eat something.
You're just bored… craving something salty or sweet for no reason.
try sipping a warm cup of traditional Korean tea.
These teas have a mild, soothing taste, barely any caffeine,
and they’re super gentle on your stomach—perfect for evening or late-night cravings.
I’ve personally avoided a lot of snack attacks thanks to these teas.
Let me share a few of my go-to favorites!
🟤 Yulmu-cha (Job's Tears Tea) – Nutty & Satisfying
✔ Great when you're feeling empty
✔ Helps with bloating, too
Yulmu tea has this warm, nutty flavor that makes it feel like a mini snack.
It actually fills you up a bit, so I even drink it as a light breakfast sometimes!
👉 Watch out for pre-made versions with added sugar.
Go for unsweetened or brew it at home if you can.
🟤 Boricha (Barley Tea) – Calm the Cravings
✔ Perfect before or after meals
✔ Hydrates and curbs boredom eating
We all know barley tea, but during a diet, it’s honestly a life-saver.
When you just feel like munching on something, a warm cup of boricha settles your stomach and quiets that urge.
I love drinking it before meals or whenever I start thinking about snacks.
👉 Definitely drink it warm—it makes a big difference in feeling full!
🟤 Dunggulle-cha (Solomon’s Seal Tea) – Sweet and Comforting
✔ Great dessert replacement
✔ Helps with digestion
This one has a naturally sweet aroma that feels so comforting.
If I’m craving dessert or something cozy, dunggulle-cha is my go-to.
👉 Bonus: It’s great after meals and helps your digestion, too!
🟤 Gyeolmyeongja-cha (Cassia Seed Tea) – For Late Night Cravings
✔ Calms late-night hunger
✔ Helps with digestion and even constipation
Famous for being good for the eyes, this tea is also amazing when you’re tempted to snack late at night.
It helps calm your body and mind—and for me, that often means I don’t end up eating that extra snack.
